An updated Interagency Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to Strengthen Employment Services for Iowans with Disabilities focused on competitive, community-based, integrated employment was signed in October, 2012 by eight State agencies. This MOA creates a structure (Operations Team) for representatives from each partner agency to meet on a regular basis for the purpose of identifying systemic practices and policies that impact employment outcomes for the targeted population. This Operations Team reports to their Agency Directors on the outcomes related to the MOA and acts as a resource to local communities in assessing regional and/or local issues and opportunities.

The eight state partner agencies committed to addressing systemic barriers to employment and identifying promising practices include:
