Have a cover letter ready

Keep a log of where you've applied and the date

Research companies when you apply

Have three questions ready to ask at each interview. Be sure to
practice before each interview with a friend, teacher, IVRS Representative,
parent, etc.

Dress for success! Wear clothes that are appropriate for the job
or a little better for the interview. Ask someone if your attire
is good for interviewing. This is your chance to make a great first
impression!

9.
Prepare and send a thank you note after the interview.

10.
Call back in two or three days if you haven't heard back. Your call
should be about the same day your thank you note is received. They
will know you want the job AND they will like the way you went about
getting it!

11.
When you are offered the job, explain duties that you will need
a reasonable accommodation for. Express to the employer how you
will do that task with the accommodation. Work with your counselor
to clarify this.

12.
Accept the position and ask what you need to do and when to start.
