National Career Readiness Certificate

The Iowa Workforce Development works closely with IVRS in promoting and collaborating on services to facilitate employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities. An example of that collaboration is the Skilled Iowa Initiative and the use of the National Career Readiness Certificate.  These services are designed to help meet the mid skill gap Iowa businesses are facing.  Attached is a spreadsheet, provided by the Research and Analysis Bureau at Iowa Workforce Development, with excellent information regarding occupations with the greatest demand currently and within the next 7 years by annual growth rate.  Additionally, there are inserted links in column B which go directly to the Occupational Network website that details the work activities, education, tasks, etc. for each occupation listed.  Wage, experience and training information accompanies each occupation and under the table you will find the legend for the codes listed.

This is useful information for vocational counseling, planning, transferable skills analysis and identifying potential areas for business development.

Thanks to our partners at IWD for their excellent labor market information.
